About the projet

OBRANCH® is a lamp prototype made by designer Irena Kilibarda from dsignedby. I modeled the lamp in 3D from designer’s drawing. The goal was to create a technical file with 3dsmax that could be usable for 3D printing. I therefore had to take into account the material constraints to do the 3D file. Then I made a presentation video for Luminale 2012, Frankfurt Light and Building 2012, Paris Design Week 2012 and Salone Satellite 2013 in Milano. The prototype lamp received an award for its innovation.

OBRANCH®

Is a combination of classically designed chandelier and the newest technology; we wanted to implement and make the use of the high-tech OLED lighting tiles differently than you would expect. The lighting tile thinness and transparency are obvious even though we are using them in a 3d structure.

Innovation

It was the first lamp/chandelier prototype using the 33cmx33cm OLED transparent tiles of this intensity in the world! This new generation chandelier was meant for home use as well as hospitality. With its’ movable lighting surface you can easily change its’ appearance from calm to fidgety, and adjust lighting intensity and direction.
